Chiropractic
Chiropratic professionals undergo a minimum of four years full-time university training, followed by ongoing post-graduate study to deliver a comprehensive healthcare package.
One of the tools used to do this is applying therapeutic, adjustive techniques to the spine and joints of the body. There are over 30 different techniques, each with dozens of different adjustments. Chiropractors typically use their hands or specialized clinical instruments to adjust the joints of the spine and body. This improves mobility, rebuilds normal neurological function, decreases muscle tension and relieves pain.
Common ailments treated are:
- Acute low back pain
- Chronic low back pain
- Acute/subacute neck pain
- Chronic neck pain
- Shoulder girdle pain/dysfunction
- Adhesive capsulitis
- Tennis elbow
- Hip osteoarthritis
- Knee osteoarthritis
- Patellofemoral pain syndrome
- Migraine headache
- Cervicogenic headache
