Whitening

We offer two different tooth whitening techniques. An initial consultation with Dr Brickley is needed, to enable him to assess your teeth and offer the most appropriate technique for you. The cost for this consultation is £25.

Zoom Whitening System

"Zoom" is a permanent whitening system which will make your teeth dramatically whiter in an hour. The intensity of whiteness normally increases over the few days following treatment. The procedure begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums leaving only your teeth exposed. A whitening gel will then be applied to your teeth, and exposed to a specially designed light. The light and gel work together to gently penetrate your teeth, breaking up stains and reducing discolouration. Once your treatment in the surgery is complete you will be given whitening trays and bleach to take away should you wish to "top up" your whiteness.

Home Whitening Trays

The home whitening system provides a similar result to Zoom, taking slightly longer to achieve. At your appointment we will take impressions of your teeth. From these impressions we will make whitening trays which will house the bleaching gel. Patients are advised to wear the bleaching trays for periods of time (commonly through the night) over the course of approximately two weeks until the desired shade is reached.
